Designed by Mohamed Kamel Yassin, Meru Valley Golf Resort is a 27-hole championship resort that opened for play in 2001. With three distinctive 9-hole tracks (Valley, Waterfall and River), any combination can be combined to create an 18-hole round, although arguably Valley and Waterfall are the best combination.
This well-maintained and beautifully presented course includes many excellent and challenging holes, often against a stunning backdrop of jungle-clad hills. Cascading streams run through both the front and back nines creating several fairway-crossing water hazards. Beyond the 13th green, is a waterfall that gives the back-nine its’ name. The signature hole is the 6th with an opening in the foliage for golfers to view the par-3 green, guarded by water at the front. Greens are well-maintained and a joy to putt on.
The resort offers fantastic practice facilities, including covered bays, a driving range, chipping, pitching, bunker practice, and putting greens. Other Facilities include a fitness center, numerous restaurants, a sauna, spa, swimming pool and tennis courts. Meru Valley is a challenging course, but the beautiful scenery helps make it an exhilarating experience.
