Austin Hills Golf Resort opened originally in 1993, with two 18-hole golf courses. Following severe flooding in 2006, the resort was reconfigured to offer three nine-hole golf courses instead, any combination of which can be played to make up an 18- hole round.
The Austin Course, Resort Course and Hills Course lie just 20 minutes from Johor Bahru city center and offer challenging golf with spectacular views. Tee boxes are elevated and there are a number of holes where you are required to drive across ravines to reach the fairways. The most challenging of the three nines is the Austin Course which features beautiful tropical planting. Holes 8 and 9 offer the best elevated views at which to take the obligatory selfie. The clubhouse is a huge white imposing building, sitting on top of Austin Hill, offering 360-degree panoramic views of the course and surrounding area.
This is the perfect place to relax in the restaurant and enjoy some excellent Malaysian food from the buffet or à la carte menus. Other facilities include a driving range and warm-up area, as well as a swimming pool, waterslides and kids club for children. Austin Hills Golf Resort makes for a great family day out, as well as offering a top-notch golfing experience.
