Poresia Golf Club & Resort is a classic Pete Dye designed resort course. Located just 15 minutes from Singapore and 45 minutes from Johor Bahru, Poresia is the closest Johor Bahru golf club to Singapore.
Set on 1,700 acres of land, the course features large hibiscus plants, oil palms, and is home to many species of tropical birds. The 36-championship holes are made up of four interchangeable nine-hole loops loops – Hibiscus, Orchid, Sakura and Bougainvillea.
The challenging Orchid Course is widely considered to the best of the four, although it may prove to be a stretch for high handicappers. The signature hole is the 13th, the most elevated hole on the resort which offers fabulous views of the course and the surrounding area. Maintenance is generally good on all four courses, especially around the gently undulating greens. Although Orchid and Hibiscus courses are the strongest combination, Orchid and Sakura provide low and mid-handicappers with an excellent and testing round.
Poresia’s large clubhouse includes a restaurant serving delicious Malaysian food. A swimming pool is also on site, for those wanting to cool off after a hot round.
