Opened for play in 1993, Pulai Springs Country Club is home to two championship golf courses; Melana Course and Pulai Course. Once ranked in the World’s Top 50 Golf Resorts, its breathtaking views of rolling hills set it apart from many neighboring courses.
The Melana Course is an 18-hole, par-72 course designed by Peter Dalkeith Scott. At 6,582 yards in length, the course plays over undulating terrain and was once voted the Best Johor Golf Course by the Business Times of Singapore.
The front-nine has some of Pulai Spring’s most natural and attractive jungle and palm oil plantation scenery, while the back nine plays closer to the surrounding housing development. The signature hole is the par-3, 6th hole which plays across a jungle ravine, one slight mistake here and you can wave goodbye to your ball.
The clubhouse is designed in the style of an ancient Malay palace. Intricately carved wood and stone murals combine with a wooden, vaulted roof and exquisite antiques to create a beautiful space with a traditional Malaysian feel to it. High-end facilities include rock showers, a jacuzzi, steam rooms, saunas and even a foot-reflexology center. The course is floodlight at night to facilitate night golf.
