Bukit Unggul Country Club is an 18-hole Ronald Fream and David Dale designed course that weaves its way through thick jungle. Located in Selangor, an hours’ drive from Kuala Lumpur, within the major development hub, known locally as the Multi-Media Super Corridor.
Laid out over 65 hectares, this hilly course requires sound club selection, as well as plenty of patience. Green fees vary depending on the day of the week, with Monday and Tuesday being the least expensive days and Saturdays and Sundays the most expensive.
Facilities at the club are outstanding and include a swimming pool, sauna, snooker and games room, a fully-equipped gymnasium, a well-stocked pro-shop, and three function rooms.
Unfortunately, caddies are not available for hire, perhaps a reason for the course being mostly frequented by locals, rather than visitors from out of town or overseas. Golf clubs are available for hire, as are electric carts for getting around this par-72, 5858-meter-long course. If you are looking for a fun day of golf, close to Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Unggul Country Club ticks many boxes.
